FEMA's Manatee DRC closes Saturday

Manateee County, Florida -- Tomorrow, July 28 will be the last day residents can visit the FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Center in Manatee County until 6 p.m.

The center is located at the Manatee County Convention Center at 1 Haben Blvd. in Palmetto.

Residents in Manatee who still need face-to-face help can visit the 3 remaining centers located in the Tampa Bay area.

FEMA update July 20

Tampa Bay -- FEMA released the following updates for counties affected by Tropical Storm Debby.

A FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Center is now open in Hillsborough County to help those survivors whose homes and/or businesses were affected by Tropical Storm Debby.

The center is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Parrish, Florida -- Manatee County has closed an area in Parrish until further notice.

The closure is on CR 675 (Rutland Road) at Jim Davis Road and Jim Davis Road between CR 675 and Golf Course Road.

Manatee County, Florida-- The Public Works Department has announced the closure of Upper Manatee River Road, west of Rye Road. 

According to a recent release, water is flowing over the road in relation to Tropical Storm Debby. 

The road will remain closed as needed.
