Two killed in Bradenton crash over weekend | News
Palmetto, Florida -- Two Palmetto people were killed in a single car crash on SR-684 early Sunday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports Chrissie Woods and Jontrease Yarn were riding together in a Mercury Sable east on the road in the left lane at U.S. 41 when Woods lost control of the car and rotated towards the south shoulder. The car then traveled over the curb, onto the south shoulder and slammed it's left side into a concrete pole. The front of the car then hit a tree as it traveled around the pole before coming to a rest up against the utility pole.
Woods was only 26 and Yarn, 22, at the time of their deaths. Authorities are awaiting a toxicology report on Woods to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
