Myakka City, Florida -- Two women were killed and two others were hospitalized after a head-on collision between two SUVs in Myakka City Tuesday night.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say around 7 p.m., a gray Mazda SUV was heading eastbound on SR 64 nearing Verna Bethany Road when its driver, Lisa Gunn, failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over the line colliding head-on with a white Ford Explorer.

Gunn, 50, of Bradenton, died at the scene.
One of the passengers in the Explorer, 56-year-old Nadine Hoffman, of Sarasota, later died at Blake Medical Center. Her family members, 56-year-old James, is at Blake Medical Center with serious injuries and 15-year-old Josh is in critical condition.
The investigation into the crash continues.
