High school scholars to be honored | News

Bradenton, Florida -- Some of the most accomplished seniors in the Manatee County School District will receive special recognition on Thursday.

The district will host "Academic Achievement Scholarship Signing Day" from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Manatee High School.

More than 80 students will be part of the event, which recognizes the top 10 percent of seniors who have a signed a letter of intent to accept an academic scholarship.

In addition, 13 scholarship awards of more than $500 will be drawn at random.
