Bradenton, Florida -- A Bradenton man was arrested Sunday after police say he tried to abduct three girls at a local park.
According to police, around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 28, 20-year-old Kelvin Oakley approached the three girls, ages 7, 9 and 10, while they were playing at Pride Park, 6100 9th St. E., and grabbed the 7-year-old by the arm.
Police say he told the girls he had a secret and they needed to come with him. The 7-year-old got away and started to run when Oakley grabbed her again. The girl broke free and the three girls ran to a nearby home and told an adult what happened.
After an investigation, police identified Oakley as the man who tried to kidnap the girls. He was arrested on Sunday and charged with Attempted Kidnapping.
