Manatee Health Department gets national recognition | Health

BRADENTON, Florida-- The Manatee County Health Department has received recognition from a national organization.

The National Association of County and City Health Officials recognized the department for its ability to respond to public health emergencies.

Manatee met expectations in three important areas, mainly dealing with hazard preparedness.

During public health emergencies, the Manatee Health Department is the lead agency tasked with coordinating the response and restoring medical infrastructure.
