Sarasota, Florida -- Two Bradenton men were arrested Friday in connection with two Sarasota home burglaries that occurred last week.
Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies pulled over the two men on Friday and found a jewelry box, burglary tools and prescription drugs in their 2002 Grand Marquis.
They were initially stopped because their car matched the description given by the resident of a home on Woodbirch Place that was burglarized earlier that day, along with the description given at a home burglary on Cedarwood Drive on Nov. 26.
Most of the recovered property was identified by the victims, but the remaining items recovered may be from other burglaries and detectives are working to identify where they came from.
The sheriff's office says one of the men arrested, 30-year-old Jeremy Maxwell, has an extensive criminal history and can now add two counts of burglary, driving with a suspended license and being a habitual traffic offender to the list.
Michael Mullins, 22, who is already on felony probation for grand theft in Manatee County, has been charged with two counts of burglary, two counts possession of burglary tools and possession of a controlled substance.
