Bradenton, Florida -- A K-9 took the heat during an arrest attempt after the wanted criminal punched the dog multiple times while trying to break free.
Police say when a deputy tried to arrest Daniel Black on a warrant, Black pulled away and fled. That's when K-9 "Barley" stepped in and caught Black, however, Black resisted arrest again by punching Barley in the face.
Black, 32, was treated at Blake Hospital for a bite to the upper leg and calf. His outstanding warrants were for possession of controlled substance, resisting a law enforcement officer with violence, and violation of domestic injunction.
The dog was not injured in the incident.
